Connie's Story

I have always had a deep love for the Yorkie breed. A few years ago, a couple who lived down the street from me had the tiniest little Yorkie — he probably weighed no more than 2 pounds. While I was pregnant with my first son, I would take daily walks, and every single day that little neighbor Yorkie would meet me at the fence for a little attention and loving. From that moment on, I dreamed of owning a Yorkie of my own.

At the time, I was young, expecting a baby, and simply couldn’t afford to buy or properly care for one. As the years passed, my children grew older, life became more stable, and I finally reached a point where I had both the time and ability to welcome a Yorkie into my life. When I adopted my very first Yorkie, I was completely amazed by how intelligent, loving, and loyal these tiny dogs truly are.

I named my first Yorkie Hokie, and he stole my heart instantly. Since my late 30s, I have always had the love of a Yorkie by my side and in my home. They truly are my four-legged children. Just like raising my two sons, my little fur babies have taught me so much about unconditional love, companionship, joy, and even heartbreak.

Every time I have lost one of my fur babies, I tell myself, “Never again… my heart can’t take it.” But somehow, my heart always finds room to love another Yorkie. One day, my veterinarian told me, “You have too much love to give not to have another dog.” I believe she was absolutely right.

And now, here I am today, preparing to begin a brand-new journey — breeding my own Yorkies.

Thanks to each and every one of you, I am able to share my love for this incredible breed and fulfill a lifelong dream — not only owning and raising Yorkies, but also providing these tiny, loving fur babies to families who will cherish them just as much as I do. 🐾💕
